3 hours and 30 minutes

The best combination! Discover the secrets of Amsterdam with a professional guide and complete your visit with a cheese tasting

For cheese lovers, this is the perfect combination to experience Amsterdam at its best.
Start your day with a 2.5-hour walking tour through the historic streets of downtown Amsterdam, led by an expert guide who will share fascinating stories and hidden details that you won’t find in any guidebook. Learn how a small muddy village on the banks of the River Amstel grew into one of Europe’s most important trading capitals, as you visit the city’s most iconic landmarks.

Along the way, you’ll also discover the contrasts that make Amsterdam so unique: the liberal history of prostitution, the decriminalization of drugs, and the city’s dark period under Nazi occupation. With an engaging storytelling style, your guide will provide the perfect introduction to Amsterdam.

The experience continues with a 1-hour cheese tasting at the prestigious Old Amsterdam cheese shop, where you’ll sample 5 different varieties of Gouda cheese, each paired with carefully selected wines that enhance the flavors of this Dutch classic. It’s a unique gastronomic experience that combines history, tradition, and taste in one of the city’s most iconic cheese locations.

After the walking tour and tasting, you’ll have plenty of time to continue exploring Amsterdam at your own pace: visit world-class museums, wander through the charming Jordaan district, or simply relax at a canal-side café. This tour not only helps you get your bearings in the city but also allows you to truly savor it in every sense.
