Discover Amsterdam Walking, Biking and Cruising

8 hours and 30 minutes

Easy

You will discover Amsterdam the most amazing way like a local. This tour is the perfect combination to enjoy Amsterdam in one day.

Experience the very best of Amsterdam in just one day with this complete tour that combines history, cycling like a true Dutch, and the magic of the canals.

We’ll begin with a walking tour through the historic center, where your expert guide will take you through the city’s most iconic landmarks. From Dam Square to the Red Light District, you’ll discover how a small village on the Amstel River grew into one of Europe’s most fascinating capitals. Along the way, you’ll hear stories and curiosities that you wouldn’t find in a guidebook.

After the walking tour, you’ll have around 1.5 hours of free time for lunch. You can choose where to eat according to your preferences, and of course, feel free to ask your guide for recommendations.

Next, it’s time to ride like a local! Hop on a bike for a 2.5-hour guided cycling tour and explore the most memorable corners of the city: Vondelpark, the charming Jordaan neighborhood, the famous Canal Ring, the “9 Streets,” and the surroundings of world-famous museums such as the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. Always on safe bike lanes and away from the busiest areas, this ride will give you a different perspective of Amsterdam.

Finally, no visit to Amsterdam is complete without discovering why it’s called the “Venice of the North.” End your day with a 1-hour canal cruise, sailing along the city’s UNESCO-listed waterways. On board a modern, glass-roof boat with comfortable interiors and an audio guide in 17 languages, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the most beautiful canals. The cruise begins approximately 30–45 minutes after the bike tour, depending on boat availability.

A perfect day that combines history, food, cycling, and canals—everything you need to truly experience Amsterdam in just one day!
